Disney Channel Original Movies

Disney Channel Original Movie Marathon Is On!

That’s right - DCOM. Movie. Marathon. Millennials everywhere are overjoyed.

The 100th Disney Channel Original Movie (affectionately referred to as “DCOM”), Adventures in Babysitting, will air on June 24th. In its honor, Disney has announced that starting on may 27th they will air every single DCOM leading up to the 100th’s premier.

That’s right- DCOM. Movie. Marathon.

Millennials everywhere are overjoyed. While Disney started making their own films in the 80s, production and popularity really picked up in the late 90s through the 2000’s. These films were very much a part of the childhoods of these nostalgia-obsessed young adults. They remember, and surely you recognize, the iconic intro clip played before each of these movies.

In order to broadcast all 99 films before the 100th premiere, Disney has decided to host a mega-marathon over Memorial Day Weekend, and will air two films per day over the course of June.
