    Ellen Degeneres’ Show Being Investigated

    By Mary Gibson | Hollywood, TV | Comments are Closed | 30 July, 2020 | 1

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been on the air since 2003. Today, there are multiple complaints against the production, which is accused of creating an environment of “racism, fear, and intimidation.” 10 former and 1 current employee anonymously reported to Buzzfeed incidents including unfair firings and racist microaggressions towards employees of color.

Following these claims, an internal investigation into the show has been launched by WarnerMedia. They, in cooperation with an outside 3rd party, will interview former and current employees to find out the validity of these claims.

In response to the allegations, the executive producers of the show put out a joint statement:  “Over the course of nearly two decades, 3,000 episodes, and employing over 1000 staff members, we have striven to create an open, safe, and inclusive work environment. We are truly heartbroken and sorry to learn that even one person in our production family has had a negative experience. It’s not who we are and not who we strive to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us.”
