On October 23rd, Luke Combs released the deluxe version of his 2019 album What You See Is What You Get. The award-winning country star has already seen an amazing reaction to the reissue, with the album currently sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the song “Forever After All” holding strong at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Additionally, four of the songs “Forever After All”, “The Other Guy,” “Cold as You”, and “My Kinda Folk” made the Top 10 on Spotify’s Top US Song Debuts.
What You See Is What You Get, Combs second studio album, was originally released in November 2019. In May 2020 Combs released the single “Six Feet Apart” which title refers to the Covid-19 pandemic. In August, he announced his album would be re-released as a deluxe version. In September 2020, his second new single “Without You” was released. And finally, the deluxe version of What You See Is What You Get was released in October 2020. The new version includes “Six Feet Apart”, “Without You” and four additional new songs. Combs celebrated the day of the release by performing all of the new songs live for his fans on Facebook.
About the overwhelming positive response to the release, Combs told The Tennessean, “You think people love it and you hope that they do … and they do,” Combs said. “I’m just thankful for that. When something’s really good, you just don’t ask questions.”
