Everyone, everyone… Winter is coming!! In the midst of a summer heatwave, there is a glimpse of cold coming in the form of a Game of Thrones prequel series in 2022!
There hasn’t been much information released on the upcoming series, but HBO confirmed that it will be based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire and Blood,” a book whose events take place 300 years prior to the initial HBO smash hit.
This series will be called “House of the Dragon,” but there are no details about the exact plot points yet. The book covers 150 years so it’s anyone’s guess, although sources are saying that the Targaryen Civil War will most likely be incorporated.
The previously announced prequel project starring Naomi Watts was cancelled, and this new series will be taking its place. Rumor has it that there may be as many as five Game of Thrones prequel projects in the work, so we shall see. As for now though, show producers are keeping us all in the dark.
