The Atlanta Botanical Garden encores its Garden Lights, Holiday Nights extravaganza for the sixth season with an incredible display of lights, music and beautiful holiday flowers.
Guests enjoy the new Walk of Flames and a newly expanded Tunnel of Light along with favorites such as the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest, and model trains that continue to make the exhibition a must-see holiday tradition.
Unfortunately, the model trains do not run in the rain. Parking is also an issue. There are huge lines of cars along Piedmont Avenue waiting to turn in and park at the Garden, so arriving early is a good idea. The park is handicapped-accessible and baby stroller-friendly. There is also a place to get refreshments in the park as well as a resturaunt. Linton’s is open during the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights and accepts walk-ins, but recommends reservations. Linton’s is situated so guests enjoy prominent vistas of the gardens and the Atlanta sky-line.
The Garden Lights, Holiday Nights is open nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and ends Saturday, January 7. Ticket prices vary based on non-peak and peak nights and range from $23 to $31 for adults and $17 to $25 for children. The prices may seem a little high, but the visit is well worth the price.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, Ga. For more information, call the Botanical Gardens at 404-876-5859.
