The lull between seasons can make fans antsy, but Joanna Gaines, co-star of Fixer Upper, has found a brilliant way to keep her audience engaged with the Magnolia Makeover series on Instagram.
Each month, one lucky winner will receive a custom style plan for a room in their home, with furniture and décor pieces from the Joanna Gaines collection, and a $1000 gift certificate to Magnolia Market.
Gaines says in her Instagram announcement, “[W]ith Season 3 over, and a ways to go until Season 4, I thought it would be fun to host a monthly giveaway where I can redesign a living room or bedroom in your home from right here in Waco, TX!”
Pop Sugar called this “exciting news for Magnolia Home fans who want an authentic Fixer Upper design, but don’t live in Waco, TX.”
Gaines has just posted the third winner’s design plan on her blog. She was touched that the winner had entered on behalf of her parents. The new dining room update includes an airy blue and white color scheme, a Taper Turned Dining Table and chairs from Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines, and her signature feature shiplap.
If you want to enter the contest, post a photo of the room that needs to be updated on Instagram using the hashtag #magnoliamakeover.
In her blog post, Gaines writes: “[B]rowsing the photos in this hashtag has been one of my favorite things to do the last few months.”
The next winner will be chosen on September 15. With over 3 million followers on Instagram, the Magnolia Makeover hashtag is already blowing up.
