If you’ve ever searched “Carrie Underwood” you’ve probably seen this in the bio; “She rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, and has since become one of the most successful artists in any musical genre.” She’s a popular favorite “Modern Royal” in Nashville.
Not only has she risen to fame in her music career, with each album she releases, but now, Carrie is a dedicated mother to her almost-two-year-old son, Isaiah. She juggles her music career and mom life, making it look totally simple. Of course, no success is really simple…rather it be parenthood or fame. She deserves an award for her poise and strong will, and not just for the very courteous “CALIA by Carrie Underwood donation with partnership by the Dick’s Sporting Goods foundation, of $100,000 sports matter grant to a girls’ sports team” as you may have seen on the latest Carrie news.”
I’m sure you’ve already listened to her upbeat album, “Storyteller” that was released a little over a year ago. On January 30th, the Storyteller tour began, and is so far, supposedly coming to an end on November 28th. Carrie has made it pretty clear that she doesn’t escape the responsibilities of wife and mom life when it comes to “dirty laundry” after a show or cuddling her son before one. There are many celebrity mothers, but in my opinion, Underwood has it more figured out than most.
Rather it’s selling out arena’s or being nominated for 3 AMA nominations, she’s letting Jesus take the wheel in her everyday life. We all can remember her heartfelt song “Something In The Water.” She openly announced her Christianity like never before. There’s no doubt Underwood probably thought that it might risk her career or lose some fans, by being so open about her faith, but God isn’t all that much of a stranger in the Country music realm, and she didn’t lose anything…she gained respect and applause from many. You’d be surprised at the Nashville Artists, that either grew up in Christianity or have chosen it for themselves after rising to fame. That is just a little bit about our favorite country star. More to be told later, on this Modern Royal.
