No Concerts Until 2022? Don’t Worry, SCENES Has You Covered

    By Taylor Mandel | Music | Comments are Closed | 21 July, 2020 | 2

We’re looking forward to live shows as much as anyone, and we’ve eagerly been awaiting 2021 in hopes of a return to touring and festival normalcy.

But according to Lollapalooza co-founder Marc Geiger, musicians and music lovers shouldn’t get their expectations too high just yet.

“In my humble opinion, it’s going to be ’22,” Geiger stated on The Bob Lefsetz Podcast. “It’s going to take that long before what I call the ‘germaphobia economy’ to be slowly killed off and be replaced by what I call the ‘claustrophobia economy,’ which is where everybody wants to go out and go back to dinner and have their life and go to festivals and go to shows.”

A big contributor to his prediction is the lack of COVID insurance coverage for festivals and music events. This causes a liability issue for the show organizers and can get very messy very quickly.

The live entertainment landscape has changed before our eyes, but one thing has remained constant: our content here at SCENES Media. We have been hosting livestream sessions well before the pandemic occurred, inviting incredible emerging talent to perform on our platform and grow their audience.

The intimate experience we provide allows artists and fans to connect on a personal level, and we’re proud to say we’ve been a pioneer in the livestream space. With live shows postponed until further notice, our consistent streaming schedule is more important than ever.

We will continue to host the best of the best singers and songwriters from around the globe, offering an escape from the harsh realities of today’s world. We all need music for comfort in this unsettling time, and it means a lot to us that we can provide it.

Here at SCENES, we invite you to transport into the world of entertainment. With over 500 unique artists on our roster, there’s a performance for everyone. You can check out our live sessions HERE. So, tell us, what’s your SCENE?
