After taking home the award for Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, for KING & COUNTRY will return to host this year’s Dove Awards along with Tye Tribbett on October 11th in Nashville.

Who else can we look forward to seeing at this year’s awards? The Gospel Music Association has released the names of TobyMac, Anthony Brown and Group TherAPy, Steven Curtis Chapman and Hollyn among those performing at the ceremony.
TobyMac has been nominated for three awards this year, including Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, and Artist of the Year. The other nominees for Artist of the Year are for KING & COUNTRY, Hillsong UNITED, Lauren Daigle, and Lecrae.
Hollyn has been nominated for New Artist of the Year, along with Jordan Feliz, Stars Go Dim, Travis Greene and We Are Messengers.

Established in 1970, the GMA Dove Awards honor Christian artists in 44 categories that span the gamut of Country, Gospel, Urban, Rap/Hip-Hop, Pop, Worship, Choral and Children’s music. Three categories are dedicated to film and video. This year’s nominees for Inspirational Film of the Year are God’s Not Dead 2, Miracles From Heaven, Risen, War Room and Woodlawn.
