Pop phenom Billie Eilish is readying her second single release since the pandemic began, announcing on social media that the song—titled “Therefore I Am”—will be released on Thursday, November 12 at 10 a.m. PT.
The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is releasing “Therefore I Am” as a follow-up to her acclaimed single “my future,” and it marks the third song released this year. Earlier in the year, Eilish unveiled “No Time To Die,” which serves as the theme to the James Bond film of the same name.
“I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE,” Eilish said on social media of the single. Her brother and producer, Finneas O’Connell, also shared his excitement for the song on his socials.
“Not to toot our own horn but this song is f—ing sick,” O’Connell said.
Eilish made headlines recently for her groundbreaking live stream concert, which she staged with her band (O’Connell and drummer Andrew Marshall) on a massive stage with visual FX and even a trigger warning about a giant virtual spider that appeared behind her.
The show was in part a voting initiative, which featured remote appearances from big names including Lizzo and Steve Carell. There was a pre-show portion of the evening, in a virtual room hosted by Eilish’s father, which included pre-recorded encore performances and a showing of the singer’s phenomenal short film about body shaming.
