Singer Gwen Stefani announced she has been busy writing new music, saying “I feel so excited. You know, music is my lifeline. It’s so therapeutic and to be able to be writing again. Sometimes you push that button and nothing really good comes out, and other times you press it and it’s like, ‘Oh my God. It’s open. The channel has opened, it’s coming down through me. Thank you.’ And it’s the greatest feeling, so I can’t wait to share it. Something’s coming really soon.”
It’s impressive that Stefani has found the time to work on new music while juggling so many other projects! The star has kept busy working as a coach on season 19 of The Voice, appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to adapt her past pop hits into country songs, and settling into her new Los Angeles home that she shares with her three sons and partner Blake Shelton.
Stefani has been in the music industry for most of her life, and first rose to fame when ska band No Doubt released their third studio album Tragic Kingdom in 1995. After almost a decade as a band, their hard work paid off when that album’s singles “Just A Girl” and “Don’t Speak” took off. In 2004, she released her first solo album “Love. Angel. Music. Baby” which produced massive hits like “Rich Girl” and “Hollaback Girl”. Her most recent release was the 2017 “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” holiday album. With such a successful career and eclectic catalog, we can’t wait to hear Stefani’s new music.
