If you’re looking for a real country artist, reminiscent of the outlaws before him and blazing the trail forward for those behind, look no further than George Singleton.
George Shingleton is an American country artist with a unique vocal sound. Singing from four years of age in the church choir, he was the guy who always had his guitar on him at campfires, barbecues, and friends’ houses, etc. Drawing on the inspiration of Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams, Jr., Shingleton’s music reboots “Outlaw Country,” with his rock influences.
In 2008, George Shingleton won the Kickin’ Country Showdown, which earned him radio airplay for his song, “Too Damn Good”. In 2012, Shingleton was signed by Hallmark Direction Company (home to names such as Blake Shelton and John Michael Montgomery). He currently resides in Nashville.
Shingleton has shared the stage with Bucky Covington, Montgomery Gentry, and the late Charlie Daniels. His enigmatic stage presence allows the audience to get lost in the music with him.
