Today marks the debut of More Fatter’s single “Yeah You.” It’s a pop-infused, funk-rock sound that’s sure to snap anyone out of the winter solstice blues.
More Fatter’s cast of players is perhaps even more unique than it’s groove-infected sound. Self described as “two grown choir boys” who started their journey with “a Swedish American, vegan bass player with a secret handshake.” The multi-racial outfit grew to six (five guys and a “fierce keyboard sorceress”) and proceeded to bring its funky sounds to the Bay area and beyond.
After releasing a debut record in 2017, More Fatter joined forces last year with Grammy winning producer Michael Starita (Childish Gambino, A Tribe Called Quest, Third Eye Blind, etc.) and audio engineer Jamieson Durr (Sammy Hagar, Chickenfoot, Joe Satriani). The result was two singles including “Yeah You,” a song written by trombonist and vocalist Mark Fedronic who, after waking up one day feeling not so great about life, decided to break out of his funk using a different kind of funk.
