Scenes Media introduces Rick Feds, who just might be the best finger drummer this world has ever seen.
Currently hailing from Austin, Texas, Feds’ recent captivating performance on Scenes Media Live Sessions has reached over 400,000 people, and counting. Feds has made Ableton’s top 5 list two years in a row and has performed as a session musician with artists like Cuba Gooding Sr., Betty Wright, Marcus Miller, and more.
Turns out, this rising performer is not just a musical talent. Rick Feds is also a Fulbright scholar, TED speaker, and Melodics and Arturia artist who, in his own words, “seeks the boundaries of interactive art forms.”
In describing his musical approach, Feds explains that his “…finger-drumming technique allows [me] to perform multi-layered electronic music live as well as trigger visuals all in real time and is later enriched by multi-instrumentalist’s energetic play on drums, synthesizers, and various other instruments creating a full package of danceable entertainment.”
We expect to see much more from this uber-talent. In the meantime, feast your eyes and ears on this short clip brought to you exclusively by Scenes Media.
