Comedian Kathy Griffin’s recent photo of her holding a faux bloodied head resembling President Trump has backlashed, landing the usually unapologetic comedian in hot water with CNN.
The gory and disgusting nature of the photo immediately stirred a storm of outrage and controversy as millions took to Twitter. In response to the backlash, Griffin apologized for “going to far.” CNN fired the comedian for the same reason.
President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. was one of the first to tweet about the horrifying and traumatizing photo. He wrote:
“Disgusting but not surprising. This is the left today. They consider this acceptable. Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS?”
He later tweeted CNN:
Wednesday morning President Trump posted a tweet without mentioning how it made him feel, but how it troubled his children, specifically Baron. Apparently, according to TMZ, the 11-year-old screamed when he saw the photo of Griffin holding the decapitated head of what appeared to be his father, on TV.
